Pre-season is rocking; Wilsden Bantams keep on knocking.

Ok, so that was a cheesy headline but it sums up the continuous behind the scenes activity here at Wilsden Bantams HQ.  For those of you who made it over to Germany for the friendly, it looks like a wild time was had by everyone, we hope you all had a great time and have a fair few stories to tell.  In fact, why not come to the “Meet the Boys from 96” Wilsden Bantams Q&A event on Sunday 6th August at The Villager and tell us all about it?  We’ve got Neil Tolson, Andy Kiwomya and Graham Mitchell attending so far and we are just waiting for confirmation from another player who we really hope will be joining us.  Tickets are on-line now at just a fiver for members and £10 for non-members.

The event kicks off at 7pm and the boys will be answering the questions from 7.45pm.  Click on our events page for all the information on what will be a cracking night – supper is included in the price and there’ll be some good laughs to be had we’re certain of it.

Anyway, that’s in the near future, so what have we been up to recently?

We’re just about recovered from the charity football match -v- Idle FC, and so this week we met with Ajay Mahajan from the Bradford Burns Unit to handover proceeds raised so far from the sale of the amazing pictures which were created by the fabulously talented Paul Town ( and generously donated by Phil Wilson at PMD Creative Solutions, Baildon ( – if you remember we managed to get the prints signed by Stuart McCall and Greg Abbott and each of the 56 prints available are uniquely numbered.  There’s still a couple left, so if you would like to purchase one, please contact Chris on 07522 123700.

So there’s just a couple of other things to tell you about – we are now taking bookings for the first coach trip of the season down to Gillingham.  Tickets can be booked on-line here and this link will also reveal a fantastic offer for all who book their Gillingham travel through Wilsden Bantams.

Another event which we have coming up is the Wilsden Bantams FIFA 17 tournament.

This is being held on various nights from the 15th August and it’s guaranteed to be a laugh.  There are some great prizes to be won including a seat at the end of season Player of the Year awards.  Again, click the link here for more information on this one.

And finally for now, we have created our very own Wilsden Bantams Fantasy Football league for the coming season.  We all think we know how to run a successful football team (well, I think I do, but know in reality it’s probably a little more complicated than that) and so now is the chance to prove it.  Come and join our fantasy league by clicking on the picture below – it’s completely free of charge to join and there’ll be some top prizes along the way as the season progresses.

I think that’s pretty much it for now, don’t forget to contact Chris by text message if you wish to purchase a priority away ticket card for the coming season, I think they will turn out to be worth their weight in gold.

Enjoy the rest of pre-season and we look forward to seeing you at our forthcoming events.

Chris, Craig, Wendy, Andy and the rest of the team…
